Gutter Installation and Repair in Purcell

Working gutters keep roof water off your siding and away from your foundation. We install new one-piece gutters, fix runs that sag or leak, and put downspouts where water can really drain. One small crew measures, installs and cleans up, so you always know who is at your home.

Gutters That Move Water Where It Belongs

A roof sheds a surprising amount of water in a single storm. Gutters catch it along the eaves and send it to a handful of downspouts placed where you want them, instead of letting it stream down your walls and pool beside the slab. When they sag, clog or pull loose, that water finds its own path, usually into fascia boards, flower beds and the soil right against your foundation.

We install new one-piece gutters, replace worn-out systems and repair runs that are still worth saving. If a few fixes will handle it, we will tell you. If your gutters are pulling away because the fascia behind them has rotted, you will see photos before anything comes down.

Because we are roofers first, we watch closely where the gutters meet the roof edge, the drip edge and the shingles. That matters most if roof replacement is also coming up, since both jobs share the same few inches of your home.

What Our Gutter Work Covers

One-piece gutters formed on site

We roll aluminum gutter from a coil in your driveway and cut each run to its full length. Straight sections have no joints to drip, so the only seams left are at corners and end caps.

Downspout placement and extensions

We set downspouts where your yard slopes away from the house, then finish them with extensions or splash blocks that send water out past the foundation. Moving a single badly placed downspout often dries up a wet corner.

Correct slope and hidden hangers

Each run gets a slight, steady fall toward its outlet so water drains rather than pooling and staining. Hidden hangers fastened into sound wood hold the gutter steady through downpours, ice and strong wind.

Repairs to existing runs

We reseal leaking joints and corners, refasten loose sections, replace crushed downspouts and fix gutters that hold standing water.

Fascia checks and replacement

Before any new gutter goes up, we check the boards it will hang from. Soft or rotted fascia is replaced so the new system has a firm base.

Gutter guards when they make sense

If tall trees drop leaves and seed pods on your roof, guards can cut down on clogs. We will tell you honestly whether your home needs them.

Signs Your Gutters Need Attention

Water pouring over the front lip
When rain spills over the outer edge in a downpour, the gutter is blocked, too small for the roof above it, or sloped away from its outlet.
Sagging or leaning out
A run that dips between hangers or tilts away from the fascia is holding more weight than its fasteners can manage. The board behind it may have gone soft.
Peeling paint and stained fascia
Dark streaks, flaking paint or swollen trim below the gutter line mean water is slipping behind the gutter rather than into it.
Puddles or washouts near the foundation
Washed-out mulch, bare dirt or standing water beside the slab after a rain tells you the downspouts are emptying too close. Central Oklahoma clay swells when it stays wet, and that strains a foundation.
Dents and split joints after hail
Hail can flatten gutters and pop joints open even when the shingles look fine from the yard. After a recent storm, our storm damage repair page covers how we check the entire roof edge.

How a Gutter Job Goes

  1. 1

    A phone conversation first

You describe what you are noticing, such as overflow, a sagging run or a damp corner. We ask a few questions and pick a time to come see it.

  2. 2

Measuring and a look at the roof edge

We measure each run, note where the water ends up today and check the fascia and drip edge. Anything that worries us, you see in photos.

  3. 3

A written estimate you can read

Footage, gutter size, downspouts, any fascia work and guards each get their own line. On install day, nothing is added unless we have talked it over with you first.

  4. 4

Install day with the same crew

Whoever measured your home is who shows up to install. Most homes are done in one day, and we keep ladders out of your plants and lay covers over walkways near the work.

  5. 5

    Water test and cleanup

Before packing up, we send a hose's worth of water down every run and watch it reach the downspout. Then we haul off the old gutter and gather loose screws and trimmings from your yard.

What Moves the Price of a Gutter Job

We start every gutter estimate with a tape measure and a look at how your roof sheds water. A single-story ranch with a few straight runs is a far simpler job than a two-story house where several valleys dump into one corner. Each piece of the work gets its own written line, so the total never hides anything.

Linear footage and height
How many feet of gutter your home needs moves the price more than anything else. Second-story runs take more ladder work and safety setup.
Gutter size and material
Many homes are well served by standard 5-inch gutters. Large or steep roof sections may need 6-inch gutters and bigger downspouts, which cost more but carry far more water.
Downspouts, elbows and corners
Each outlet, elbow and inside or outside corner adds parts and labor. Extensions, or piping water farther out into the yard, add a bit more.
Fascia board condition
New gutters have to hang on solid wood, so any soft or rotted boards are replaced first. We find this while measuring, so it shows up on the written estimate rather than as a surprise on install day.
Guards and other options
Gutter guards are optional and priced on a separate line, so you can decide on them with the numbers in hand.

Answers About Gutters

Is a new roof a good time to put up new gutters too?
Often it is. The old gutters usually have to come off so new drip edge can be installed, and hanging new ones at that point means no one has to work around fresh shingles later. If your existing gutters are still solid, we can remove them carefully and rehang them.
Are 6-inch gutters worth it?
They pay off on homes with big or steep roof sections, or where two slopes drain into one corner. The wider channel holds a lot more water in a hard downpour. Smaller sections generally do fine with 5-inch gutters, and we will recommend a size for each run.
Can my gutters be fixed rather than replaced?
Usually, if the metal is still in good shape. Resealing joints, adding hangers and resetting the slope can keep a run working for years. When gutters are heavily dented, rusted through or attached to rotted fascia, repairs seldom make sense, and our photos will show you why.
Do I need to be home during the install?
Not for the whole day. We like to go over downspout locations with you before work starts, and if you are home when we finish we will walk you through the new runs and the water test.
Does insurance pay for gutters damaged by hail?
It can. That comes down to your policy and to the actual damage. We take photos of dents and split joints and explain what we found, while the adjuster makes the coverage decision. Pairing the visit with a roof inspection gives them a fuller picture.
